Love him & all he does & all of his books! Great podcast! Glad you had him. I aspire to be in that place of joy. I’m still at the fist-pumping stage. Lol!
I remember reading Tattoos on the Heart in college and being really blown away by Father Gregory Boyle's story. It takes a special kind of person to commit so deeply to putting the principles of their faith into practice in a way that deeply threatens their own safety and well-being (physically and emotionally).
Great guest to bring on and promote to a wider audience, especially at a time when people are feeling powerless in the face of titanic conflicts and crises in the world, not knowing where to begin in terms of making a positive difference as a single individual. But that's exactly how Homeboy Industries began.
Beautifully articulated Allen. We agree Father Greg's approach to service is unifying and exactly what we need and so worthy of admiration and emulation.
I'm grateful Fr. Greg is Fr. Greg.
Us too!

It's a process for sure! Thanks for the kind words.
This is such good timing. I saw him speak on Saturday in a workshop and started listening to Tattoos of the heart as a result.
How very serendipitous! We are very excited about this episode with the father...
